Hello and welcome!
Lewis Group of Companies recently hosted the annual company picnic for all Southern California employees at the Big League of Dreams in Chino Hills, CA. A recent interview with Traci Altman, Director of Events, gave us a behind the scenes idea of this yearly tradition.
Q: Describe the event and the value created by it?
“This event is offered as a day of fun for Lewis employees, to relax and enjoy each other’s company outside of work. The company picnic is important because Lewis Group of Companies wants to make sure its employees are recognized for all of their hard work and continued dedication to the company. This is a great way to bring everyone together in a fun, interactive environment.”
Q: Who usually attends?
“All Southern California employees, along with their immediate families, are invited to attend. This year, we had about 750 people attend.”
Q: What are some highlights from this year’s event?
“This year’s picnic was a great success! Held at Big League Dreams, attendees enjoyed a large picnic area, BBQ buffet lunch, various activities, inflatables and games, along with a softball tournament.”
What’s in store for 2018?
Each year, the Events Department tries to offer different options with regards to activities, food, and venue. Next year’s picnic is still in the planning phase, but the team is taking survey suggestions into consideration for an even better event!
We’re eager and excited for next year’s company picnic and cannot wait to see what other surprises the events department is planning!
