Thousands of millennials are flocking to the suburbs of metro areas. According to data from the Urban Land Institute, three metro areas (Riverside, CA, San Antonio, TX., and Orlando, FL.) saw the greatest growth in the number of adults aged 25 to 34 between 2010 and 2015.

Randall Lewis, Executive Vice President of Marketing at the Lewis Group of Companies, spoke with Time Magazine and shared some insights on the growth in Riverside:

Millennials are trading in buying a home for apartment living as Randall Lewis states:

“Historically, this [Riverside] is a marketplace people would come to for housing affordability, but now that a lot of millennials are postponing the buying decision, there’s a strong apartment market out here.”
